What up blogger? Its Tuesday so I know you are waiting by your computer for yet another award winning blog post from Thee Ted Smith and you got it suckas. Now I have not been watching as much baseball as I used to but I have been checking out the postseason and last night in a big time game things went a little odd. First thing I saw was a guy stealing second with Albert Pujols at the plate when it was not a hit and run and not the right time to take that base. So now the Cardinals are in the field as the Rangers are at the plate and they bring in the wrong reliefpitcher. Now after they brought in the wrong they brought in a guy just to walk a hitter and then got the right guy in. Now this morning the coach of the Cardinals said the phone to the bullpen was not working and they could not see who was up and who was not. While they are right that in that ballpark you can’t see in the bullpen but its the world series so maybe make sure you know who is up in the pen. Just seems to me that St.Louis is makeing costly mistakes that will led to the Rangers winnig their first title. Glad the game was good since the MNF game sucked and come on FOX get some new guys in the booth

    What up blogger? So last night I am watching college football on TV switching back and forth between that and the MLB playoffs. Oh yeah the Cards choked last and Ithink taking out the closer was a mistake. So anyhow I am watching the the UCLA VS Arizona game and out of nowhere a guy dressed as a ref runs onto the field and blows a whistleand stops the play. Now at first I thought that was funny but then the game breaks into a big ass fight. A few players started jawing at each other and usually the refs break it up but they were watching the streaking so the fights start and with that the benches clear. Now you got a all out brawl going on and guys throwing punches. Here is my problem is that I thought the streaker was funny at first but then it was his fault that the fight happened. I know that was not his intent but this is a good reason to stay off the field. Leave the playing surface to the players.

    What up blogger? Man its getting chilly out there even for my big hairy ass. So I love tweeting now that I am on twitter and think thatit is so cool that if anyone whats to get at me they can on twitter and BAMM I can hit them right back. Now sometimes i think should I tweet this or not. It’s like facebook where you have to think is this worth posting or is this just going to annoy people. Side note you don’t have to work in radio to post too much on facebook as some people post there every move they make. Now while I like these tools i wonder sometimes is this too much info. I love my Sounders FC but do I want to know the El Flaco just pooped? I do BTW. Here is what i am thinking now though is maybe all the access we have to athletes and famous people well let us see that they are just like us. I think in the end will as a people will figure out what is good and bad and how to use these tools but its going to take some time.     What up blogger? So man what a long and fun weekend I had last weekend. I left on a red eye flight Thursday night and did not go to sleep till after midnight on Friday night so I was a tired guy but it was worth it as my cousin Pat got married in New York state. The last night after the wedding we stayed up late as hell as well but hey I only get to see the people I love every so often so lets party together right.

    Now other thing I love besides my family on the east coast is the grocery store. Yeah I like to go on Tuesday nights for no other reason then hitting the store then relaxing in the hot tub is a nice Tuesday if you ask me. I don’t know where my love of the store started but probablystarted with the fact i am a fat and love food so why not go to the place with all the food right. I also think that my love got deeper as i learned not to eat all the bad food in the world so I like to look at it. I like to take my time at the store and see all that is in and how good it all looks. You know I am buying chicken and honey-crisp tonight

    What up blogger? So this year and every year I go to weddings. Now I am a 30 year old man so in the last few years most of my friends have gotten married. Now I have been to thirteenof them in the last few years and been in nine of them. I am a loyal guy so I always go back for these weddings and weddings can be a lot of fun. I will say this about weddings though, and that is people are crazy at them. For some reason people feel it is OK to just go crazy at weddings where-as I am not sure they would be that way other times. I think a big part of it is how emotional weddings are. Its human nature when you are sitting there watching other people get married to start looking at your relationships and such. Now I am guessing that’s why so many people hook up at weddings. It could also be that since that movie everyone thinks they can just whore it up at weddings. They can be a ton of fun and they can be filled with drama. I have been to fun ones and ones that had drama and were not fun at any point. Sometimes to I think at weddings a lot of girls just see what they think is a fairy tale happening right in front of them and want it for themself. I have the same feelings of love and emotion when I see my favorite sports team win.

    What up blogger? So the rain is baaaack but as I write this the sun is back so what the hell? So I was just watching a interviewwith Tracy Morgan on the David Letterman show about his comments he made during a stand-up act about gays and killing his son if he was gay. Also just last week ESPN got rid of Hank Williams Jr. for what he said. Now here is my take on some of this stuff which is it’s just words. Do I have a problem with gay people and gay marriage? No but yes I have made gay jokes in bad taste for a laugh. Do I think Hank Williams Jr is fun on MNF? Yes do I care what he says no, not one bit. Here is the thing is you saw either of these guys say this in front of you and you were offended then OK you were offended but for the mass of people they just see on the Internet that someone said something and now we have to do something. I am lucky to waork in a place where I can say what I feel here on the Men’s Room and on KISW but on the same token people should be able to say things and not have to say I am sorry. Tracy made a bad joke but I don’t think he has to say sorry to everyone and if you sit around waiting to be pissed off and looking for something to set you off you will find it. I did that for years and was just angry about stuff for no reason and its no way to live. Why are we so sensitive these days I don’t know, but we have to calm down and let people speak there mind. The KKK is a bunch of jackasses so if they want to do a speech about how Jews are bad people let them and then pay them no mind. The more we make a big deal out of nothing allows real evil people to speak their crap because we are too busy worrying about what a comedian and a radio DJ say. So as you can see I will be blogging a little more about whatever these days not just TV so I hope your ready for the mind that is Ted. Now I am off to made classless jokes on the radio so get ready to be mad

    What up blogger? I usally start out this blog talking about weather and the weather is a changeing so i thought hell I will write a whole blog on this. The weather clearly changes every year around this time and it’s get’s a little darker and a little colder. Now some people I think just start getting depressed because it is gray and a little darker out but I love the fall and I love change. The weather is no differnt than you or me and we need changes in our lives so we don’t stay stuck. With that idea I think that sometimes mother nature needs a change as well and so the seasons happen. I personally think we should stop bitching and let her do her thing and change.

    Now not only does the weather change but you get all the awesome sports in fall you love. College and Pro football, playoff soccer and MLB playoffs. Maybe you say hey Ted I don’t like those sports since I am from Canada well good news my brother from up north is that NHL hockey starts today. So with all that going on and snowboarding season right around the corner how could you not like fall. Its also awesome to rock a soft warm hoodie in the fall. Maybe even a fire….yeah you like fall just like I do.

    What up blogger? Man am I fired up today for some soccer. Now I know some of you are sick of hearing me talk about soccer and the Sounders but lets be honset its the only game in town that is winning and playing games that count. You know what i am wrong on that one as the Husky football program is winning and had a big win in my mind last week at Utah. I though honstly that Utah was going to give it to the the Huskies but they played a good game and handled the Utes. I not going to forget you cougs out there as your boys got a win over Colorado and generally I have had more fun hangin with cougs.

    So onto the point of this blog and that point is that tonight is a big game for your Seattle Sounders FC. The US open cup is a cool, exciteing torneyment that allows club teams or all levals to compete. For instance the Sounders beat the Kitsap Pumas in a early round of the open cup. Now the Sounders have won the last two open cups and have made the torneyment more popular then it used to be. Thsi is good because it give the open cup the respect it derseves but at the same time it makes it harder because other MLS teams now care about winning the cup. In soccer its all about one thing and thats hardware. We already got our hands on one peice of hardware in winning the Cascadia cup which I am sure has been named George. Now tonight we should set yet another record for people to watch a open cup final and if we win we will be the first team to win three open cups in a row ever. Not sure about that stat but just go with it folks. So tonight I will be there and Ben will be there and I hope you all are there and ready to go crazy.

    What up blogger? Sunny day today out there. It’s funny I went to the Husky game last Saturday and people were bitching because it was too hot for them in the stands and I just laughed because in a couple months everyone is going to wish that weather was here. Anyhow the game was fun and I will be going to a couple of them this year and I want to feel free to shoot me a email and let me know where you are tailgating and I will put you in one of my adventure video’s. Also I will bring some beer since I don’t want to be a mooch.

    So last night was the greatest night in baseball that I have seen in my lifetime. The drama was unreal and teams were just falling apart. The Braves had already given up a huge lead in the playoff picture this month and last night they seemed defeated from about the 5th inning on. At the same time this month the Redsox have been chokeing as well and last night they lost to the O’s in the bottom of the 9th inning. As soon as ESPN could switch over to the Rays game BOOM a home run and pure and simple the Redsox are out and the Rays are in. I can’t say this enough but it was the greatest night of baseball in my lifetime hands down. Nice job baseball

Man everytime I think summer is gone it fires back up with this nice weather. look I am not going to lie to you I love fall and fall weather but I am not going to complain about it being too hot for fall. We are going to have fall for weeks this year like always. They are called the next two months.

    So last night was the second show of the year for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and man that show is sick. So last year I guess the gang was not happy with how the season went or maybe they did not push it far enough but trust me they are pushing it as far as they can these days. Last night on that show I had turn my head at one point because it was too much. The show is awesome and funny and this year is great so far but don’t ever watch with the kids. Have a good weekend everyone and have a beer with me if you are going to the Husky game tomorrow
